2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is a trendy-looking compact SUV that offers roomy seats, a large cargo area, and a comprehensive list of modern technologies. To help you clearly distinguish between the Trailblazer trim levels, we’ve compiled an overview that outlines the most important features of each.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer at a Glance

The Trailblazer is one of the newest entrants in the popular subcompact crossover segment. The SUV’s edgy styling, which takes its cues from the Camaro’s design, includes bold proportions and attractive sculpted lines. For its size, the Trailblazer offers a roomy cabin with comfortable seating for up to five passengers. The trunk, which provides 25.3 cubic feet of space, is larger than that of many competitors. When you need to haul larger items, you can open up a maximum cargo area of 54.5 cubic feet by folding the rear seats down.

Trim Levels

The Trailblazer comes in five trims to suit a variety of styles and needs:

L

The base trim is powered by a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that pairs with a continuously variable transmission and delivers an output of 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This configuration sends power to the front wheels. Standard exterior features include halogen headlights and taillights, a manual liftgate, LED daytime running lights, and 16-inch steel wheels.

In the cabin, you’ll find a user-friendly infotainment system that features a Wi-Fi hot spot, four speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and USB ports. The cabin is also fitted with an electronic parking brake, air conditioning, and cloth upholstery. One of the trim’s top selling points is its long list of advanced driver-assist systems. These include a following distance indicator, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, forward-collision warning, an HD rear-vision camera, and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.

LS

The LS trim also features the 1.2-liter engine. However, you can opt for an available 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine that pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and generates a spirited 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Both a front-wheel and an all-wheel-drive system are available with this engine. The trim also offers 17-inch aluminum wheels and a flat-folding passenger seat.

LT

Like the LS, the LT comes standard with the base engine but can be upgraded to the available 1.3-liter engine. This trim adds convenient exterior features such as roof-mounted side rails, deep-tinted glass, heated side mirrors, and LED fog lamps. It also provides keyless entry and ignition and heated and power-adjustable front seats.

Activ

The Activ trim comes standard with the 1.3-liter engine, as well as various off-road-ready features that provide rugged functionality. The trim is equipped with an off-road suspension, improved ground clearance, 17-inch sport terrain tires, special dampers, and a functional skid plate. In addition, you receive trailering equipment and LED taillights. The cabin features a leatherette trim, rear center armrest, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

RS

Like the Activ trim, the range-topping RS comes standard with the 1.3-liter engine. Chevy labels this a “sporty” trim and equips it with 18-inch black machined aluminum wheels and dual-outlet exhausts. On the inside, the RS receives a leatherette and cloth trim.

The five Trailblazer trims offer various levels of comfort and performance. For more in-depth information regarding the Chevy Trailblazer, drop by Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet in Rigby, ID.
