Barbecue Rigby, ID

Rigby, ID is a small town in Jefferson County, Idaho. With just over 3,000 residents, Rigby has a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle and is a great place to raise a family. There’s a cute downtown commercial center where you can find great local shops, services, and restaurants. The town is enveloped by natural beauty, and there are plenty of recreational activities to partake in. There’s also great food. Here are some of the best barbecue spots in the area.

1. Lil Mike’s Smokin’ BBQ

Lil Mike’s started as a food truck and evolved into a sit-down restaurant that the locals like to flock to. The food is delicious here, and everything is made-to-order with the freshest ingredients available. The shredded pork and smoked brisket are outstanding, and you can round out the meal with a side of their famous smoked mac and cheese. Lil Mike’s gained national recognition after it appeared on the hit show, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

2. Big Hole BBQ

Big Hole is more like a small hole-in-the-wall, but it packs a big punch when it comes to delicious smoked meats. It’s a popular place for dining in and take-out alike and has a loyal following in the area. The service is friendly, fast, and efficient, and the portion sizes are generous. If it’s your first time visiting, go for the BBQ combo plates to get a taste of everything. When in doubt, try their fantastic tacos.

3. Blister’s BBQ

Blister’s claims to have the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi, and the locals don’t disagree. The menu is extensive and features an array of popular dishes like pulled pork, beef brisket, tri-tip cheesesteaks, smoked chicken, and turkey. They also do up some stellar sandwiches that are great for lunch. Try the turkey bacon club, the Cuban, or the bleu heaven. The restaurant isn’t much of a looker, but don’t let that fool you – the food is tremendous.

4. Grandpa’s Southern Bar-B-Q

Grandpa’s is a great family restaurant that has been serving up lip-smacking barbecue for years. They serve all the regular staples that you’d find at a BBQ joint, but the stars of the show just might be the catfish and fried chicken. The side dishes are on point as well. Try the cornbread, barbecue baked beans, slaw, and of course, mac and cheese. You’ll feel like you’re at a family member’s house when you dine in at Grandpa’s.

5. Raised Southern Barbecue

The main reason you’ll want to go to Raised Southern is because of their mouth-watering beef brisket, but fortunately, there are plenty of other great reasons as well. Raised considers itself a “craft” barbecue joint, and they make all of their delicious side dishes by hand. The mac and cheese is what dreams are made of and needs to be on your list when you go. The quality here will make any Texan proud. After dinner, be sure to head down to Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet to test drive one of our great new or used vehicles that we have in stock.
