Cedar Park has been around since 1999, and it was initially built as an exclusive country club. The course consists mostly of open fields, which means there is ample room for balls hit into trouble or bogeys made by beginners and pros alike. The fairways are usually lush with grass and lined by tall pines, while many areas have water hazards, making every shot different than the last!
3. Heise Golf Center
Heise Golf Center is a 9-hole par 29 public course with a pro shop where they rent clubs and carts. The course is also great for beginners, as the holes are all par three.
Designed by architect Chuck Denning and opened to the public in 1975, the Heise Course sits on just over 100 acres of land, so it’s easy to find enough space to practice your shots. The terrain around Heise features grasslands with rolling hillsides that provide excellent views throughout the area.
4. Teton Lake, Middle Fork Course
The Teton Lakes is a 9-hole regulation length course that will challenge players no matter how experienced they may be. Designed by Billy Casper, this course is located about 12 miles from the center of Rigby. The greens are well-maintained, and the fairways offer a good variety of challenges (from wide-open shots to tight trees).
5. Pinecrest Golf Center
The 18-hole Pinecrest Golf Center is a municipal course, which offers golfing at an affordable price. The target golfer might be someone who wants to improve their skills or for the novice and would like something in between beginner’s courses and some of the more difficult ones as they progress with their abilities.
