1. Suspension
2021 was the first year that Chevrolet used independent rear suspension on its Suburban SUV models, and they continued it in 2022. The suspension system allows the car to hug the road better and adjust to surface changes more finely, which means vehicle occupants enjoy a smoother ride.
The rear suspension also allows for extra interior space, and the 2nd and 3rd row have even more legroom this year!
2. Huge Cargo Space
Thanks to the suspension changes, the Suburban now has a total cargo space of 145 cubic feet with all non-driving seats folded down. The Suburban draws its towing power from its engine, with the Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel Engine or the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 Engine being the best two choices. Both provide 460 lb-ft of torque. An optional Max Trailering Package that includes extra safety features for tow-capable vehicles is available.

Functionality is the focus behind the Suburban’s infotainment system. The 10in front screen comes integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which offers navigation, entertainment, and car monitoring capabilities. The included Wi-Fi hotspot enhances the chance to communicate and be entertained while on a road trip.
5. Fuel Efficiency
The Chevy Suburban exceeds all class expectations with its fuel efficiency. The EPA-rated fuel economy for a gas-powered Suburban is 16/20 mpg for city/highway, while a diesel-powered Suburban has a rating of 21/27 mpg for city/highway.
