1. Kelly Island Campgrounds

This semi-developed scenic campsite offers incredible spots to camp along the Snake River’s South Fork, tucked away in a majestic cottonwood gallery forest. visitors are sure to enjoy the stellar fishing along the river and the many opportunities for hiking, boating, and other fun outdoor activities.

The campground is open from mid-May to mid-September and, while most of the sites are suitable for smaller RVs, none of them are equipped with electrical hookups. Reservations can be made for the group site only by contacting the site manager directly over the phone.

2. Table Rock

Situated less than 40 minutes drive from Rigby, Table Rock Campground lies tucked away in a small yet picturesque canyon surrounded by great multi-use trails popular with hikers, ATV enthusiasts, and mountain bikers.

The campground is a large one, with over 200 sites available to reserve online located in a grassy meadow dotted with beautiful wildflowers and overhung by shady pines. Each site has access to vault toilets, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables, but again there is no electricity available at the sites.

3. Falls Campground

Falls campground is tucked away in the Swan Valley, on the banks of the Snake River, amongst groves of shady cottonwood trees. The campground’s location near the extensive Caribou-Targhee National Forest and Palisades Wilderness Study Area makes it the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts.

Moose, deer, eagles, osprey, and other birds of prey are regularly spotted here. The campsite itself can accommodate up to 150 people in the group area, and several single sites are available too. The sites all have fire rings and picnic tables, and firewood can be cheaply purchased from the campground office.

4. Meadow Lake Campground

Meadow Lake Campground is a high-altitude campground that sits at an elevation of over 9,000 feet in the Lemhi Mountain Range, part of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. there are plenty of recreational opportunities available for everyone here. Fishermen will love angling for trout in the lake, whereas hikers will enjoy heading up the steep ridges that surround the site, or simply enjoying a peaceful stroll around the lake.

No matter what you prefer, you’ll certainly love the views over the mountains and the lake, which are truly spectacular. The campground has 17 sites, all of which have access to drinking water, fire rings, and barbeque pedestals.
