4 Essential Services You Can Always Find at Your Rigby, ID Chevy Dealership

4 Essential Services You Can Always Find at Your Rigby, ID Chevy Dealership

A big part of being a responsible Chevy owner is making sure to visit your local Chevy dealership on a regular basis for essential servicing. Services like oil changes and multi-point checks can save you a lot of time, money, and hassle in the long run, so it's really wise to stick to your service schedule. This guide will look at some of the top services you can also find at the Rigby, ID dealer. more 1. Multi-Point Check Cars have a whole lot of parts, from the engine components under the hood to the brakes, wheels, seatbelts, and more. Over time, issues can arise with all of those different parts, and it's almost impossible to keep track of them all on your own. A multi-point check can help with this. During a multi-point check, a technician will inspect your vehicle from all sides, looking at a long list of components and giving you a detailed report of their findings. This is perfect for spotting little problems or warning signs, so you can take action and prevent bigger problems from developing. 2. Engine Diagnostic The engine is the heart of your car, but over time, it can start to struggle. You might notice strange sounds, changes in fuel consumption, or burning smells coming from under the hood. Or you might simply be able to feel that something is wrong when driving your car. If this happens, an engine diagnostic is the best service to get. During a diagnostic, a technician will be able to connect with your car's built-in computer to find out what's wrong with the engine and take the appropriate steps to fix it. 3. Oil Change There are various fluids flowing through your car's systems, from brake fluid in the brakes to coolant in the radiator. Engine oil is one of the most important fluids of all, helping to lubricate the engine parts and keeping everything moving smoothly when the engine is running. Over time, engine oil naturally degrades, becoming thick, dirty, and sludgy if left too long. This is why it's very important to get an oil change every six months, at least. During an oil change, the old and dirty engine oil is removed, with fresh, clean oil poured in to replace it. 4. Tire Check and Rotation It's important for your car's tires to be in the best possible condition, allowing you to drive around safely and get the best fuel economy. But over time, it's possible for punctures, pressure problems, and uneven tread wear to occur, leaving you with an unbalanced and potentially unsafe set of tires. At the dealership, mechanics will be able to inspect your tires for any damage. They can also "rotate" the tires, which means swapping them around into different positions in order to balance the tread wear and help the whole set last longer. Auto servicing is so important if you want to avoid costly repairs and mechanical issues with your vehicle, and you can find all of these services and plenty more at your trusted local dealer. Call Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet today to arrange your next auto service and keep your car in perfect condition.

Those lucky enough to live in Rigby, ID are close to lots of great trails to explore, so strap on your hiking boots and hit the trails at these fantastic hiking spots. more 1. North Menan Butte Trail This relatively easy hike takes you on a satisfying loop around the rim of an extinct volcano that overlooks Rigby and the Snake River to the south. There's some quite impressive elevation gain here – you are climbing a mountain after all. The trail is very well used, so there shouldn't be any danger of losing it; the portion near the trailhead is paved and even has a restroom. When you've navigated the switchbacks and reached the edge of the cauldron, head either left or right and follow the trail around the rim for a 2-mile loop. 2. Lookout Mountain Trails One of several mountains in the state called “Lookout Mountain”, this particular peak makes for a gentle uphill climb that's only a short drive to the east of Rigby. The climb takes you through several trails in the network, starting from the parking lot off Kelly Canyon Road, start by taking the Hawley Gulch Upper Trail from the far side of the parking lot, and continue up the ridge, then down and back into the trees. Continue until you come to an intersection, then take the four-wheeler trail up to the summit. Stick to the right of the trail and take the small sections of single track that branch off into the trees if you want to get off the ATV route. There are great views from the top out over Snake Plane. 3. Big Hole Crest And Rocky Peak Trails Continuing on past lookout mountain takes you into the Big Hole Mountains, and extension of the larger Snake Range to the south, on the other side of Pine Creek Pass. 3 Best Fishing Spots Near Rigby, ID

While you might be forgiven for not realizing it, the area of southeast Idaho around Rigby, ID is world-renowned for its fishing. Even if fishing isn't one of your favorite pastimes, or if you never picked up a rod before, you'll still enjoy the beautiful natural scenery around you at these excellent fishing spots; and who knows? You might just get lucky and catch supper, although do check whether fish from the water body you're fishing on are safe to eat. more 1. Snake River The famed Snake River and its various branches are renowned for their fishing potential, with a multitude of opportunities to hunt for trophy bass, trout, and even the occasional carp. The section of the river immediately south of Rigby, between Idaho Falls and Blackfoot, is especially productive when it comes to fishing for brown trout. The fall is the best time to go after this species when the large fish in this region begin to spawn. Fishing in this section is best with drift and jet boats, and streamers and nymphs are often used to catch the trout, which can often achieve trophy sizes. If you're going after other species, then head on a little further downstream to the section between Blackfoot and American Falls Reservoir, where, apart from the prolific species of trout such as cutthroat and rainbow, you can expect to catch bass and sturgeon. 2. Ririe Reservoir Located to the southeast of Rigby, Ririe Reservoir is an especially good place to fish if you have access to a boat or canoe, as the choice of bank areas is quite limited. However, you might be able to find a much-coveted dock to drop your hook from. The center of the reservoir is significantly deeper, and many species of fish lurk in the depths. Species found here include rainbow trout, which are easily caught from either the bank or the shore, often with nightcrawlers or canned corn. Kokanee salmon can be found here too and will often school approximately 20 feet from the bottom in open water, where they are readily caught by trolling a line from a boat. 3. Rigby (Jefferson County) Lake Situated on the northern edge of town, this small pond will be well known to Rigby residents. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, which are often caught from the open shoreline. Again, a boat of some description will serve you well here, but there's ample fishing space to be found from the shore. The lake is stocked in June every year, making this the time to go for an easy catch, whereas later in the year will produce bigger fish and the occasional large holdover from the year before. This list includes some of our favorite places to fish, but there's plenty more out there. Snake River in particular has plenty of places to try. Need a new vehicle to carry all your fishing gear, and hopefully your catch? Then visit us today at Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet, and we'll be more than happy to help.

Heise Golf Center Heise Golf Center is a 9-hole par 29 public course with a pro shop where they rent clubs and carts. The course is also great for beginners, as the holes are all par three. Designed by architect Chuck Denning and opened to the public in 1975, the Heise Course sits on just over 100 acres of land, so it's easy to find enough space to practice your shots. The terrain around Heise features grasslands with rolling hillsides that provide excellent views throughout the area. 4. Teton Lake, Middle Fork Course The Teton Lakes is a 9-hole regulation length course that will challenge players no matter how experienced they may be. Designed by Billy Casper, this course is located about 12 miles from the center of Rigby. The greens are well-maintained, and the fairways offer a good variety of challenges (from wide-open shots to tight trees). 5. Pinecrest Golf Center The 18-hole Pinecrest Golf Center is a municipal course, which offers golfing at an affordable price. The target golfer might be someone who wants to improve their skills or for the novice and would like something in between beginner's courses and some of the more difficult ones as they progress with their abilities. The above courses are an excellent place to be for anyone who wants a good course that is challenging but not too difficult.
