Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Silverado 3500 comes in four trims, the Work Truck, LT, LTZ, and top-tier High Country. This pickup truck, except for the High Country trim, can be configured with rear dual wheels that help increases its towing and pulling capacity. Depending on the trim, you can get the Silverado 3500 as a Regular Cab, Double Cab, or Crew Cab with either a standard bed or long bed. As you move up the trims, the 2022 Silverado 3500 comes with an EZ Lift tailgate, alloy wheels, spray-in bed liner, and a power-sliding rear window.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of all four trims, you'll find a 6.6-liter V-8 engine that produces 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. For the ultimate power you need for heavy-duty towing, choose the available 6.3-liter Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine that delivers 445 horsepower and an impressive 910 pound-feet of torque. This diesel engine pairs with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.
When properly equipped, the gas engine can tow up to 17,370 pounds, and the diesel engine has a maximum towing capacity of 36,000 pounds. The single-wheel Silverado 3500 models have a maximum payload capacity of 4,534, and the capacity increases to 7,742 on the dual-wheel models.
Performance
Rear-wheel drive comes standard on all but the High Country trim, which comes standard with four-wheel drive and an Autotrac two-speed transfer case. Four-wheel drive is available on the three lower trims. The digital variable steering assist system and electronic stability and traction control system, along with the enhanced suspension, helps to stabilize and improve the ride quality and handling of the Silverado 3500.
Interior
Depending on the cab configuration and trim level, up to five or six people fit comfortably inside the 2022 Silverado 3500. You'll find vinyl seats on the Work Truck trim and leather bucket seats on the upper levels. Several luxury features found on the two upper trims are available on the lower tiers and include climate-controlled front and rear seats, leathery upholstery, and a heated steering wheel.
All trims come with Chevrolet's Infotainment 3 system featuring an 8-inch touch screen except for the base trim, which gets a 7-inch touch screen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Chevrolet Connected Access come standard across the lineup. Available features found standard on the High Country include integrated navigation, voice recognition, a wireless charging pad, HD radio, and a multispeaker premium Bose sound system.
Safety Features
Standard driver-assist features include Teen Driver, a high-definition rearview camera with trailering hitch guidance, a bed-view camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Optional safety features include a trailering camera system, a head-up display, a forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and a lane departure warning. Additional advanced features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors.
