Your next choice is a 5.3-liter EcoTec V-8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with the six-, eight-, or 10-speed automatic transmission. The next engine is a 6.2-liter EcoTec V-8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The last engine choice is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder Duramax turbocharged diesel engine delivering 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The last two engines mate with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Rear-wheel drive comes standard for the Silverado 1500, with the option to choose four-wheel drive. Select trims and packages add a two-speed transfer case ideal for off-roading. The available adaptive ride control system, as well as the automatic locking rear differential, helps to give this pickup truck a smooth ride with lots of control when going over rugged terrain. For the ultimate control when towing, add the optional integrated trailer brake controller and the Advanced Trailering Package. When properly equipped, the 2022 Silverado 1500 can tow up to 13,300 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 2,280 pounds.
Interior
